Biography

Dr. Laura Pickford has lived in the DC metropolitan area since high school. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and attended medical school at the University of Virginia, interrupted briefly by being activated from the Army Reserves for Operation Desert Storm. She completed her residency at the University of Kentucky. She has practiced in the Northern Virginia area since 1999, and is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is currently the Medical Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the President of the Medical Staff at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. She lives in Vienna with her husband, and has 2 young adult sons and a Boston Terrier. Her interests include Nationals baseball, Maryland basketball, skiing, and painting.
